No shoes on the mats. No bare feet off the mats. Make sure your feet are clean before stepping on the mats. Wrestling or boxing shoes must be clean and not worn off the mats.
Arrive on time for classes. If you arrive late, check in with the instructor before joining the class. Consistently attend classes and participate fully in training sessions. Inform your instructor if you need to miss a class, especially if you are a regular student.
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene. Ensure your body, training attire (rash guards, shorts, spats), and gear are clean and odor-free, especially your feet. Trim your nails to avoid scratching others.
Do not train if you are sick, have any skin infections, or open wounds to prevent spreading illness or infection to others.
Prioritize safety by using equipment correctly, not attempting techniques beyond your skill level, and communicating with training partners about injuries or discomfort. Tap early and often to avoid injury.
Wear appropriate gear, including a rash guard, grappling shorts, and possibly spats. Ensure your attire has no zippers or hard plastic/metal parts that could injure others. Remove all jewelry before training to avoid injury to yourself or others. When live rolling/sparring, use a mouthpiece and a cup for additional protection.
Maintain a positive attitude, be open to learning, and avoid showing frustration or aggression. Be a good partner by providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
Pay attention during instruction, follow the instructor's directions without interruption, and stay engaged during drills and rolling. Keep personal belongings off the mats, and avoid using phones or other distractions during class. Store your gear neatly in designated areas.

Match your intensity to your partner's skill level and the drill’s purpose. Be mindful of your partner’s safety, especially during live rolling and submissions.
Help keep the training area clean by picking up after yourself, sanitizing the mats if you see any blood, and assisting with any necessary clean-up tasks after class.
These rules help ensure a respectful, safe, and productive environment for everyone in the gym.
